Rules Of Croquet

The court is ideally a flat-grassed area measuring 35 by 28 yards this is the regulation size but, of course, this can be adapted to the size of your garden. The croquet rules state that the game starts with the toss of a coin, the game is played around the circuit of hoops; the Blue and Black balls play against the Red and Yellow balls. The first team to get both of their balls through the 12 hoops and hit the winning peg is the winners. A game of Croquet can sometimes take over an hour to complete hence there are several versions of the game amongst them being “Short Croquet” which is played on a slightly smaller court of 24 x 18 yards.
